With year-round accommodations and recreation options, this modern park is perfect for enjoying the outdoors, just outside the city of Omaha.  Outdoor adventure seekers can explore the park’s hiking and biking trails, climb the treetop ropes course, and conquer the observation tower.  Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is perfect for families, with an aquatic center and an indoor playground.  Sledding and ice skating make this park a fun destination even in winter.  Campgrounds, cabins, and lodges are ideal for overnight stays.  The Peter Kiewit Lodge offers 40 guest rooms, most with sprawling views of the Platte River Valley.  Camping reservations must be made at least three days before arrival and a Nebraska State Park Permit is required to enter the park area.
