As one of the oldest operas in the world, the Cincinnati Opera is a worldwide leader in operatic
performance. Founded in 1920, today the opera showcases operas ranging from La Traviata to Don
Giovanni there are many operas for visitors to enjoy. In addition, they host an annual summer festival
(which will run from June 13 to July 27 in 2024) with personal cabaret performances from some of
opera’s powerhouse singers as well as opera in the park performances. An ongoing project from the
opera house is the Black Opera Project which is currently working to uplift black voices in opera and
premiering an opera about the Black experience which will be released on Juneteenth 2025. If you are
