C.W. Parker Carousel Museum and Gift Shop
Ride on a restored 1913 antique carousel made in Leavenworth at the turn of the century. The museum is dedicated to telling the remarkable story of C.W. Parker, the “Carnival King.” The carousel has 24 wooden, hand-carved horses, three ponies, two rabbits, “lovers tub” and chariot benches available for the handicapped.
There is also a static display of the oldest operating, hand-cranked, wooden carousel built around 1890 and a 1950s carousel with aluminum horses built by Paul Parker, C.W. ‘s son.
Special arrangements can be made for parties, birthday, receptions, weddings, meetings, and dinners. A teacher’s curriculum is available for school trips.
